Perhaps the most influential Christian artist of 20th Century, Keith Green's Last Day's Music and Message are as timeless as they are troubling. He was and is Christ's singing prophet calling modern Christianity to repentance and renewal.
Keith's manner and message were unique among his generation. Compassionate and cutting, is heartfelt lyrics and simple yet soulful melodies stirred millions to awake from their "Asleep in the Light." Songs like, "My Eyes are Dry" and "Make My Life a Prayer to You" were cries of brokenness for genuine Christians to live holy lives, softening their hearts to the plight of the perishing all around them. His classic, "The Sheep and the Goats" was a well needed warning of Christ's standards concerning the fast approaching judgment of all mankind, with its everlasting terrors and rewards.
"A Billion Starving People" and "Commanded to Go" highlighted the need for believers to spend their lives and worldly riches for the eternal purpose of showing and telling the true faith by practically interceding in issues like poverty and abortion.
