Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
by Robert R. Pennington
Long before ever writing "Heaven and Hell lie in thinking well" I was convinced of it. From understanding ourselves and each other to comprehending our Creator and place in creation wisdom is key.
Explicitly and implicitly mentioned thousands of times in various ways the Bible's jammed full of verses like this from Proverbs 4: "Sell everything and buy Wisdom! Forage for Understanding! Don't forget one word! Don't deviate an inch! Never walk away from Wisdom—she guards your life; love her—she keeps her eye on you. Above all and before all, do this: Get Wisdom! Write this at the top of your list: Get Understanding! Throw your arms around her—believe me, you won't regret it; never let her go—she'll make your life glorious."
Modern Proverbs
Over two decades ago I was introduced to the Pensées or "musings" of Blaise Pascal. His work inspired me to believe and latter pen "God will speak twice as often to a sinner who's writing it down than to a saint who ain't."
Over 4,000 musing of my own have helped me capture and refine my thoughts as well as provide a vehicle to share them.
Pan Handling for Truth
Not all that glitters is gold. Iron pirate can fool the novice prospector but you'll never learn if you don't try. In that spirit I offer the following hoping to inspire thought, begin conversation and promote appropriate action. For ease of use I've sorted my observations into several categorizes. These include:
- General observations
- God
- Theology
- Salvation
- Living Faith
- Prayer
- Revival
- Repentance
- Sin
- The Kingdom

My hope is that together we can be more than the sum of our parts. Perhaps of thought of mine will spark a question or comment of your own. Many a thought I've had was born in the mind and on the lips of another. I greatly encourage you to write your thoughts down for purposes mentioned just to name a few.
